Vaser liposuction, a quick overview

Vaser liposuction, a quick overview | Metamorfosis @ Medii.net

VASER liposuction is a body contouring procedure that uses ultrasound energy to break down fat cells. The fat is then removed with a cannula. VASER liposuction is also known as ultrasound-assisted liposuction or LipoSculpting.

How it works

  1. A medicated solution is injected into the treatment area. This solution contains lidocaine to reduce pain and epinephrine to constrict blood vessels.
  2. The VASER device emits ultrasound energy pulses through a probe. The ultrasound energy breaks down the fat cells.
  3. A cannula is used to remove the fat cells from the body.

Benefits

  • Less invasive VASER liposuction is less invasive than traditional liposuction because it causes less trauma to surrounding tissues.
  • More precise VASER liposuction allows surgeons to precisely target specific areas.
  • Natural-looking results VASER liposuction can achieve natural-looking results in multiple areas of the body.
  • Permanent results The results of VASER liposuction are considered permanent because adults cannot grow new fat cells.

Recovery

  • You may need to wear a compression garment for several weeks.
  • You may need to drink extra fluids to flush the anesthesia from your body.
  • You may experience fluid weeping from the treated area for 24 to 48 hours.
